The 60 participants were divided between 3 projects within Sayers Croft:
The large natural maze which is a favourite with the visiting children:
· Pruning and landscaping the hedges and bushes
· Laying new hedges using a traditional hedge laying technique
· Planting new hedges
· Constructing barriers and cheat holes.
Indoor maintenance in one of the dining room:
- Preparation of the walls, ceiling and windows
- Painting emulsion onto the walls and ceiling
- Painting gloss on to the windows and door frames.
Assisting with conservations work in the woodland area:
· Constructing a revetment to prevent further erosion
· Updating a boardwalk used on nature walks.
A fantastic result for the centre and they all had a wonderful team building experience.
